He was born in Mosul,and entered at the lnstitute of Safa in 1901,and was ordained a priest in Mosul in 1908,He ran several in schools and some newspapers in Mosul. He was ordained a curate bishop in 1940, then bishop in 1954,He moved to Baghdad in 1960 and died there. Alsayegh wrote several plays, includeing Shuhada Aljazeera (Martyrs of the lsland) in 1918, Aleeman (Faith) in 1919, Alameer Alhamadny (the Hamdani prince)in 1928, Mashahid Alfadhila Aw Yousif Alsideeq (scenes of virtue or Yousif the righteous)in 1931,Alziba in 1933, Horass (which was written by korneih and translated in 1945)Yamamat Ninawa Aw Shammirama )dove of Tarikh Almusil, (the history of Mosul), the famous Alnajim (the Star),and the historical novel Yazdandolht.
