1955 – 2015
Linguist, writer and poet, borm in Zakho Iraq, graduated from Mosul University Department of Engineering (1980-1981). Member of: Centrai Council of the Union of Writers and Authors of Iraq, Union of Syriac Writers and Authors, Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, World Federation of Journalists. Editor and Editor-in-Chief for many magazines. He had a great role in translating and preparing Syriac curricula for tihe various stages of study. He was responsibie for the idea, preparation, and implementation, special program tihat celebrated 150 yearssince the birth of the first Syriac newspaper(1998-1999). He was instrumemtail in arranging the Chaidean-Syriac-Assyrian National Conference in Baghdad (2003). He was appointed to the Assymian Democratic Movement, and was elected a member of the leadership in 1997 and lied its media organization for years with success and excellence. Minister of Industry and Energy -Kurdistan Regional Government / Iraq (2001-2006) Wrote more than 20 books in the Syriac and Arabic lamguages, including a dictionary, poetry collections, language studies, stories, and critical studies, among them: The Arabic-Syriac dictionary “Bahra”
