Dawood Ramu Shorgi

Dawood Ramu was born in Bakhdeda (Qaraqosh). He entered the Institute of Saint John in Mosul, and then left it. He graduated from the mixed preparatory school of Mosul in 1936. And then from the educational open course to become a teacher in Talafar in 1939, then a headmaster in his hometown in 1940. He was fluent in French, Arabic and Syriac. In 1939 he directed the first play in his hometown, which was entitled ‘Ana Aljundi’ (I am the soldier), and then the play “Mashahid Alfadhila’ (scenes of virtue) by Sulaiman Alsayegh in 1948.
