Cultural and literary monthly magazine issued in Syriac by the Assyrian Youth Society in Tehran, Iran on April 2md, 1952. was printed in Hunein Press. Its editor-in-chief was Addai Alkhas, and his brother, the poet Jan Al-khas, was an editor. The magazine was directed by Nimrod Simonnyo, who also contributed to the editing in addition to other writers. This magazine published poems, stories and historical articles of Syriac poets and writers from Iran, Iraq, Syria and the Diaspora, as well news of the social and cultural associations, schools and the latest cultural publications. “Gilgamesh” played a prominent role in the development of Syriac language and literature. Its publication ceased in January 1962 after publishing seventeen issues.
