Primary School: Learning Through Creativity

In the Primary School Corner, located on the museum’s second floor, young learners will explore the Syriac language through interactive and engaging activities.

  • Coloring Sheets & Books: Children will have access to a variety of coloring sheets and books designed to help them practice Syriac letters and words in a fun and creative way.

  • Animated Songs & Videos: To make learning enjoyable, the museum presents specially curated animated songs and videos, helping children familiarize themselves with the language and cultural heritage in an entertaining format.

Middle School: OUR IDENTITY Educational Programme

The OUR IDENTITY educational programme is designed specifically for middle school students.

  • Historical Wall Tour: Participants will visit the Historical Wall from the ground hall, where they will be given information about the identity of Chaldean Assyrian Syriac people. The tour also includes interesting details about the history of Mesopotamia before Christianity, covering the Akkadian, Babylonian, and Assyrian periods.

  • Christianity & Cultural Contributions: The tour continues with insights into the spreading of Christianity in the region, highlighting key historical figures from that period. Additionally, the programme explores the contributions of the Syriac people during the Islamic period.

  • Interactive Puzzle Activity: After the tour, participants are divided into groups and given a set of questions. Each group must find the correct answers on the puzzle pieces. For every correct answer, they will add one piece to the puzzle, working collaboratively to complete the final picture.

High School: Exploring Syriac Contributions

The High School Corner highlights the literary and artistic achievements of the Syriac community.

  • Prominent Writers & Poets: A showcase of influential Syriac poets and writers and their contributions to literature and culture.

  • Theater & Performing Arts: An overview of Syriac theater, including the first known Syriac play, Aster Malekatha – Queen Aster, and the pioneering role of Syriacs in Iraqi theater.

  • Historical Guessing Game: Students will participate in a fun and interactive challenge where one participant describes an image of a historical event, figure, or artifact without naming it. Their team must guess correctly to place the image on the board. If they get it wrong, the opposing team gets a chance. This game promotes teamwork, historical knowledge, and quick thinking.
